Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida - The University of Tulsa mens golfers are in sixth place with a 15-over par 303 total after todays first round at the Sawgrass Country Club in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. The second round will be played on Monday, while the third and final round is on Tuesday.
Senior Rob Laird carded a three-over par 75 to tie for 18th place, while Andre Tourinho, Chris Worrell and Stephen Carney are all one stroke back in 28th place. Arie Fauzi shot an eight-over par 80 for 64th place.
Twenty-seventh ranked North Florida leads the race with an even-par 288, followed by 30th-ranked Duke in second place with a 294 total. Furman (296), #22 TCU (298) and Georgia Southern (301) round out the top-five teams.
North Floridas Joe Byun is leading the individual race with a three-under par 69, while three players carded a one-under par 71 today.
